The May 17th chapter meeting provided an evening filled with free-flowing discussion on agile communication strategy, supported by delicious food and stylish footwear.
At Hi-Way Harry’s in Johnson Creek, the evening began with networking over drinks with a group comprised of a variety of professionals from corporate, academic and non-profit agencies. Many mentor/mentee matches were made marvelous on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at UW-Madison’s School of Library and Information Studies.
A rollicking good time was had by all as the evening kicked off with a brief overview of the process, as explained by Stephanie Heyroth, SLIS second-year graduate student and general go-getter. Mentors would first provide an “all about me” introduction to include vital information such as alma mater, employment history, current job, and interests. Continue Reading

Dedicated members of SLA Wisconsin spent their evening indoors on an unseasonably warm and beautiful March 14th. Guest speaker, Randall B. Dunham ensured SLA members were justly rewarded for their attendance, however, by giving an enlightening and entertaining presentation on leading effective change (the dinner and dessert were also delicious rewards for attending the program).
