October 16 Dinner Program: Expanding Your Capabilities Beyond the Traditional: Competitive Intelligence

Join us Tuesday, October 16 at Mo’s Irish Pub in Wauwatosa for a presentation by Roger Phelps, President of Phelps Research Service in Madison, Wisconsin. For the last 10 years, his company has provided intelligence services that include a balance of deliverables from both primary and secondary sources.

Event sponsored by: Aurora WDC

Librarians have played a critical role within companies for decades, however just like our dynamic business environment(s), things are changing at a rapid pace. Some librarians may be comfortable in their roles, yet for some it may be time to expand their skill set beyond the traditional.

In this combination SCIP/SLA session, Roger Phelps will discuss skills, tools and processes necessary for building and running a successful competitive intelligence function. In this session we will discuss both how CI practitioners can take better advantage of corporate librarians and conversely how corporate librarians can expand their roles and become successful CI practitioners.

Visit the event site for details and registration (please register by October 12).
